Water Purification Systems

Treatment of toxic metal-contaminated mine runoff or drinking water solutions can be very expensive. Laws in many jurisdictions often dictate reducing toxic metal contents to very low levels. This requires exponentially increasing chemical energy and material consumption. Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) technology inverts this paradigm with materials that interact directly and efficiently with target species in solution. This results in strong, quantitative binding interactions that can readily reduce metal values to non-detectable levels. Solid Phase Extraction technology has performed quantitative reductions of a variety of toxic metals in water, such as lead, mercury, arsenic, and copper well below regulatory levels. With increasingly stringent regulations placed on mines and clean aquifer and drinking water, SPE technology will lead the way in water purification systems in the 21st century.
